If vacuum clamping with the GridPlate or PerfoPlate is not possible, this adapter plate with microporous clamping surface often offers the solution.
Air-permeable ceramic. The most used version. For applications where high flatness is required as well as high tension forces.
How it works:
The air-permeable clamping surface reduces strongly the vacuum leakages with which the vacuum pump is able to create a vacuum.
Very high flatness of the clamping surface in μm range possible. No deformation of the workpiece because there are no grooves and holes in the clamping surface. With the Tepas VacuMat and PerfoMat enormous range in applications possible. Microporous clamping surfaces are water-resistant, however, coolant can seal the surface so that there is no more vacuum. As a result, only do not use a coolant emulsion, so work dry.
